logback DSL

Domain-specific language (DSL) in Groovy or Scala?

In addition to the existing XML-based configuration, we are planning to add a Groovy and/or Scala based DSL logback configuration. Which language would you *prefer* for this DSL to be implemented in?

Please note that the said DSLs are intended to coexist with the current XML-based configuration mechanism.
